In this video tutorial, I show you how to embroider Open backstitch.
An open backstitch is a variation of the backstitch and looks very similar to a running stitch. Visually, from the front side of the embroidery, the open backstitch and the running stitch look the same. Still, on the backside of the fabric, you will see the difference.
An open backstitch is an excellent stitch for sewing. It offers a look of a running stitch but the strength of the backstitch. It is easy to embroider straight lines and curves with this stitch. You can use this stitch for outlines or borders too.
